Duplicating an aircraft for different panels? Or?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just got FSX Panel Studio and it seems to be great.

However - I want to mess around and create panels for an existing aircraft without "messing up" the original.

I'm having a slight issues with RXP (different thread in a few moments on that) but was wondering what the "standard procedure" might be.

Simply: I want to make an IFR panel from scratch and have the aircraft identifiable, e.g. "Bravo for IFR".

However, I don't know how to duplicate the aircraft in a way that both shows up in Panel Studio and then shows up in FSX.

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

thanks,

Andrew

The drop-dead simplest way is to create a new folder within the same aircraft folder:

..\panel.mycustompanel

then edit the aircraft.cfg file to point to your new panel.cfg file:

[fltsim.3]
title=Mooney Bravo IFR
sim=Mooney_Bravo
model=
panel=mycustompanel
sound=
texture=G1000
kb_checklists=Mooney_Bravo_Check
kb_reference=Mooney_Bravo_ref
atc_id=N1000B
ui_manufacturer="Mooney"
ui_type="Bravo IFR"
ui_variation="Bravo for IFR"
ui_typerole="Single Engine Prop"
ui_createdby="Microsoft Corporation"
