Aerosoft Spanish Airports for FSX ?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anybody knows if Aerosoft intend to develop their Spanish Airports volume that they previously did for FS2004 for FSX.

I find it hard to comprehend how Aerosoft, or even any developer has not produced the major popular spanish airports. Excluding Barajas and El Prat.

One of the highlights of this niche would of course would be Malaga airport. (LEMG) A MEGA popular holiday destination located in the Costa del Sol , Andulusia. It recently was upgraded with a third Terminal ( T3 ) to increase tourism in southern Spain. Check out the video I took below of the terminal. I fly here nearly every week with Ryanair during the summer holidays. Yet Nobdy has made an attempt to stick it on the marketplace for FSX . I'm pretty sure any serious European flight simmer has heard of this popular destination carrying over 14 million PAX per year.

I find it hard to comprehend why Aerosoft recently announced their version of "Athens International Airport" while this destination had already been well developed by Fly Tampa.

The majority of you reading this are properly American, but maybe you have heard of this wonderful destination ?

Feel free to give your 2 cents in relation to future add on Spanish airports

I took a video of the new terminal last week on taxi in.

Yes, they are intending to do Malaga, but don't expect it this year. Also, they will be starting on the Canary Islands after there Alaska airport PAFA is released,

The Athens Airport they refer to is the Fly Tampa version. Aerosoft are re-sellers. Some addons are in house, but most are Developers who use Aerosoft, or simmarket who package these products to sell on there online shop.

BTW, I am not American. I am Irish on my fathers friends side. :drinks:

Thats good, Maybe Aerosoft are holding off on Malaga to see what the details are on the site when the second run is put in place.

Oh right, I didn't see it was just the Fly Tampa version. I just couldn't understand why they released this on their website as a recent release. The Fly tampa version wasn't Called Athens X when it was released ages ago. Its a tad weird changing the name. Is it just the boxed version being released ?

The Canaries will be great too if they include Reina Sofia in Tenerife, because Fly Wonderful Islands did the canaries for both FSX and 2004 a good while back but left out a few of the islands including Tenerife, ( The Most popular Island ) .

So your Irish on your dads side ? and on behalf of your mother your are ?

Scottish on Mothers side, from Lenzie near Glasgow.

There is a post for the developers re Canary, will dig it out for you.

They seem to always add an X to there products, for example Flight Beam KSFO is aslo sold with an X on the end. Back in a min with the link.

Edit:

Here is what Thorsten from sim-wings posted

Quote< Canary islands are "under development", actually Manfred is working on La Palma island/airport.

Marseille has been developed for a LevelD sim as I mentioned earlier and now has to be ported to FSX, but we skipped that

for a while. I first had to make Fairbanks which will be a perfect addition to Anchorage and I did not want to change to Europe for one project and than back to Alaska. Here´s the roadmap for our next releases in unspecified order:

Fairbanks, AK

La Palma (first part of Canary X)

Malaga

El Hierro (Canary X)

Tenerife Sur y Norte (Canary X)

... rest of Canaries

New Heathrow version

Update for Mallorca (new Terminal)

Marseille

You see there´s a lot to do so sim-wings is definetly not dead. Don´t know why such rumours are posted. Since ten years we are constantly working on our add ons and releasing 2 to 4 Addons a year. Sure it´s often not the airport you personally expected, but development times are about 6 to 12 month, as we prefere to deliver quality instead of quantity.

Also we have our own forum you can use for specific requests.<End Quote

I have been waiting for Malaga for ages and have posted several requests on the Aerosoft forum, as have many others. I know they've been waiting for the major building works to finish, but I fly in there regulalry and as far as I can see, they are almost done. It will be a great airport to have in our FSX library.
