Anyone have an idea ?

Hey Guys, Was considering getting a second GTX 550 Ti for my rig in order to play FSX in Nvidea Surround Mode with 3 x 22" LED Monitors. My system specs are listed in my signature for your reference. Anyway I hear that when you set up 3 monitors, you can increase the resolution along the lines of something near 5090 x 1080. Now this is nearly five times the resolution of a normal Full HD monitor. Will this " increased resolution" have an effect on my FPS overall ? I mean typically speaking two graphics cards working together in synergy in SLI always results in significant performance increase with today's games But FSX being the inefficient, outdated technology that it is will not result in performance increases... but performance decreases with additional graphics cards. If you give FSX two hands , it will only make use of one of them. Anyway I'm just looking to see if getting Nvidea surround is really worth it... It will cost me over 400 euro more to complete the surround mode but will it just end up in 33 % less performance ? Am I paying a good deal of money for less performance or an enhanced experience? Or will the performance stay the same if I have the 3 monitors in 1920 x 1080. Will that even look normal ? I would appreciate feedback from simmers that have gone down this route before to tell me your experience, the advantages and disadvantages of 3D Surround. Thanks for reading.

I remember back in the days in FS 2004 when I was using my old Dell Inspiron equipped with a 128mb Graphics card and 512 MB of ram . I was achieving around 4-5 FPS on the PMDG 737-800. And that was on a default airport with little or no autogen, It used to take around 10 -15 seconds to change view as well ! Yet I seemed to be happy with it. I don't know why. Thankfully those days are gone now ! :Peace:

Anybody know if Bay Tower will release any more add ons in the short term future. My dream aircraft I would love to get when I'm up and running is the RV-8 I mean have you seen anymore more beautiful than this ..... Because I haven't.

Is it really that big a deal? Its more likely a trademark problem. They werent given permission for their logo so they arent legally allowed to use it. Ive noticed this is an aerosoft Glider where there would be noticeable Peltor Headsets hanging from the Canopy. But aerosoft deliberately named the inscription as " Peltror" instead of " Peltor " because of copyright issues. Its a stupid decision as those companies would be getting free publicity from aerosoft if they were to used officially. But God if that bothers you, by all means do not buy the Carenado Grand Caravan, Because theres an problem with their door manager on that specific aircraft. You can only open the Captains door while all of the other cargo doors cant be opened. Carenado are aware of this glitch and decided to do absolutely nothing about it . Such a shame IMO. Because with the caravan you will be opening cargo doors and passenger doors frequently.

Whats wrong with the Collins Radio ? You looking for King Avionics or something ? Whats your system specs. There shouldn't be a problem with the Skymaster in terms of FPS. All depends on your settings and your specs.

Thats good, Maybe Aerosoft are holding off on Malaga to see what the details are on the site when the second run is put in place. Oh right, I didn't see it was just the Fly Tampa version. I just couldn't understand why they released this on their website as a recent release. The Fly tampa version wasn't Called Athens X when it was released ages ago. Its a tad weird changing the name. Is it just the boxed version being released ? The Canaries will be great too if they include Reina Sofia in Tenerife, because Fly Wonderful Islands did the canaries for both FSX and 2004 a good while back but left out a few of the islands including Tenerife, ( The Most popular Island ) . Hey guys, Just wondering if anybody knows if Aerosoft intend to develop their Spanish Airports volume that they previously did for FS2004 for FSX. I find it hard to comprehend how Aerosoft, or even any developer has not produced the major popular spanish airports. Excluding Barajas and El Prat. One of the highlights of this niche would of course would be Malaga airport. (LEMG) A MEGA popular holiday destination located in the Costa del Sol , Andulusia. It recently was upgraded with a third Terminal ( T3 ) to increase tourism in southern Spain. Check out the video I took below of the terminal. I fly here nearly every week with Ryanair during the summer holidays. Yet Nobdy has made an attempt to stick it on the marketplace for FSX . I'm pretty sure any serious European flight simmer has heard of this popular destination carrying over 14 million PAX per year. I find it hard to comprehend why Aerosoft recently announced their version of "Athens International Airport" while this destination had already been well developed by Fly Tampa. The majority of you reading this are properly American, but maybe you have heard of this wonderful destination ? Feel free to give your 2 cents in relation to future add on Spanish airports I took a video of the new terminal last week on taxi in.

Your properly right. Have you seen the backlog orders of the 787 ? Theres been close to 900 orders of the 787 and only 11 of them have been delivered. It will be ages before PMDG get the chance to start working on it. Thats why they might need to start working on something else before the 787, to keep them busy.

I guess your right, and the 787 more likely will be the most demanded aircraft by the average FS consumer. But I'm sure any aircraft PMDG produce , there will be a relatively high level of demand for that aircraft. I mean I desperately want an " NGX " standard 757 or 767, I already have previous models but would happily pay for the new standard on those aircraft. Only time will tell I guess. And I doubt no attempt will be made my PMDG to produce an Airbus in the short term future. That need has already been satisfied with the recent release of Aerosoft's Airbus X. However there still is a gap in the market for a decent long haul range of the Airbus including the A330, A340, A350 and of course the A380.

But you don't always have to fill the heavies up to the brim with fuel and PAX, you have the option to fly them anywhere though. I like flying the heavies over Europe, Wouldn't have the time for transatlantic. If they consider regional, they should look into the ATR,s and the BAE 146. ( City Jet's Aircraft )

I know your dead right, It sometimes feels your sitting on the wing. If you select the wing forward view, the sound changes externally too. Even if you walk through the NGX cabin with EzDok when you sit next to the window it disappears. I'll add a picture later to show you how much better this view is on the CS 767. They even have the option to slide the sun visor up and down at any setting.

Yeah, seems like they will concentrate on the Dreamliner after every things ticking over on the 777. But personally I would love PMDG to consider to compete with Captain Sim on the " Classic 737 "plus on the 757 and 767. Surely they must consider expanding their Boeing portfolio before considering to start working on a ScareBus. :Loser: , Which I couldn't see happening for a long time.

Yep, forgot that, and I supposed that will be released around the same season as the 777 ? Im sure a lot of conventional pilots will love to fly that.

Hey guys, so we now have the good news that PMDG will be releasing their highly anticipated 777 and a makeover of the 747 this summer.. Thats great and I'm sure we'll build up a lot of fun on those aircraft. But having said that, what does everyone speculate that PMDG will release in the future after those projects? Eventually they must think of developing the 787 in due time. But what about re-doing some of the older Boeing aircraft such as the 757 and 767 family. With the NGX now setting the expected " Standard " in the marketplace. I'd say customers would love to get that level of user interaction with the older boeing family. I was just watching this " 757 Lighting " video on YouTube and said I'd love to get that in FSX. But the now obsolete add ons from Captain Sim and CLS just don't offer this level of realism. What does everyone think PMDG has planned for the future ?

Me and my friend seemed to get this when we had just flight's traffic x installed. It would happen randomly at different airports. It is a bit weird because like the whole fleet at the airport will jump up and down at the same time, it's looks funny yet annoying . I don't seem to get this anymore since I upgraded my ai traffic to my traffic x recently . It's a lot more reliastix and more detailed than just flights version. Do you have a third party ai add on installed ?
