Now that the negative criticism has been reined in I wonder about any long term effects. I can't imagine that the development team was very appreciative. Trying to balance smooth operation, attention to detail and attracting new flyers seems a formidable task and then to have their best efforts repeatedly trashed must have been very discouraging. It's hard for me to imagine that the developers have been inspired to do a better job but I think that may have been what some of the complainers had in mind.

Also, I find myself more annoyed with the shortcomings of FSX than previously. I think this is largely due to the criticism of Flight as much as a simple comparison of the two. If others feel similarly that wouldn't bode well for those who develop addons for FSX.

Let's not go there. This is not a FSX forum and speculating on any impact of the negativity only opens the door for more of it. I am locking this thread before it has an opportunity to do that.
