SkySpirit 767 problems

Featured Replies

Hello All

I recently downloaded a SkySpirit (ANA) Boeing 767.(POSKY as was)

When I loaded it to inspect the aircraft, I noticed that there was no Beacon light. When I checked the relevant LIGHTS section in the in the aircraft CFG all the entries were prefixed with 'slashes' which I thought was a bit like a REM in good old BASIC ,anyway I removed these slashes and then I had my beacon back,HOWEVER! having sorted that I noticed in flight that the SPEEDBRAKE light kept randomly flashing on and of as I was climbing to cruise, it seemed they were trying to deploy automatically .

Anyway I swapped the Skyspirit for an original POSKY 767 and there was no problem with flashing SPEEDBRAKE light or Beacon.

Both aircraft have the same panel.

Anybody else noticed any problems with SkySpirit craft?

I am sure I experienced the same sort of problems with there aircraft when I tried one some time ago.

There not big deal problems ,but the flashing speedbrake light is extremely annoying .

Anyways

cheers

Andy

Hi Andy,

The SSP aircraft are pesky to work with, particularly if you're using a third-party panel. The included readme file directs one to insert two separate [windowNN] sections and a couple of other sections at the end of pangel.cfg. Have you tried that?

Did you copy the included effects files to the main EFFECTS folder? It might be that the SSP 763 is calling for a file different from that for the POSKY 763.

It took me a good while to get the "ultimateboeingpanel" to work with the SSP 763s; now I just cut-and-paste the panel folder from one to another.

Good luck.

RE Effects

Yes I attempted to install the included effects ,however each file was already installed ,so it seems the new aircraft are using the original POSKY effects.

Its no big deal really ,the old Poskies are fine. I would still have the intermittent speed brake light flashing even if the effects had fixed the beacon anyway.

And of course I altered the new SkySpiriit Aircraft CFG Lights section and this did give me the missing beacon.

I don't fly the 767 that much anyway (don't no why that is)

So POSKY originals will be fine.

Thanks for your help.

cheers Andrew
