May 5, 201214 yr Hi, Each time I would use the mouse to make an adjustment in the cockpit I would move the pointer to the edge of the screen to get it out of the way. I was aware that it would disappear shortly but why wait? Then, when I selected the map it would immediately begin scrolling. Well, duh! So now I have to get in the habit of either waiting for the pointer to disappear or moving it from the edge of the screen before selecting the map. Either that or just continuing to wildly grab at the mouse to stop the scrolling accompanied with appropriate expletives. Jim F.
May 5, 201214 yr The map scrolling has been a constant annoyance to me too, but I hadn't pieced together, as you did, that it came from moving the mouse out of the way while flying. So, double duh! to me, and thanks for the tip. - Peter C http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bob_and_Ray_Show
May 6, 201214 yr Author Hi, A new day, a new duh! First, two things: 1) I recently disabled the display of the unrealistic location pointer while doing jobs. 2) I downloaded the FSWidgets GMAP but haven't been using it as it wasn't visible unless Flight was run in a less realistic window. Now for the Duh! I run Flight full screen and Alt-Tab to the desktop, run GMAP, and then Alt-Tab between Flight and GMAP. While doing a job and not having the map or the location pointer was just too much. Jim F.
