I have 737 Pilot In Command, I can happily use the product with very few problems. I really like it but I notice that on my installation the navigation points along my route are not named. They are just diamonds. Is there anything I can do to get the names displayed?

Welcome to Avsim.

There's a popup or you look at the pedestal to see the EFIS panel. Here's the picture of the unit from the manual. The lower line of buttons (MAP MODE selectors) enables some extra modes to display data.

Hello, Thank you for that information.

I have tried it but still no names of the navigation points are displayed. I am confused & spent hours looking online & found nothing to help me.

Can you post the route you are using? I can check this later. I think my previous post was a bit misleading as the names should show up by design. However, I will check the route you have in use.

OK that's great. Thank you very much. All my routes I have ever used show no name on the route map.

Here is one of my my current routes, AIRAC 1205: Leeds Bradford, UK to Barcelona, Spain.

Kind regards, Paul.

That's strange. I've tried your route and imported it on one attempt, while I've manually entered the waypoints on the other one. The outcome is the same.

You can see the EFIS panel in those screenshots. Nothing changed there, just the viewing distance. I'm using 1205 too.

I think one safe way to rule out problems is to uninstall and install the plane again. Just in case. Run the installer with right click and 'as admin', turn off antivirus and don't run FSX in some compatibility modes. Sorry for being not much of a help.

Maybe post a picture with your waypoints not showing names. Include the FMC and the EFIS panel. Perhaps we can spot a problem.

Hi, Everything you have suggested makes sense to me. I appreciate your help so no need to apologize at all. Thank you.

Paul, I was stupid. I wrote you with some PIC Evolution setup. I could have spotted it on the thread title, but your screenshots then showed my that I'm using another product. Though I still wonder why the older PIC doesn't show names. I'd say it should.

This reviews shows some waypoint names on the PIC. http://www.flightsim.com/main/review/pic737/pic737.htm I can't see anything wrong on your screenshot, so maybe write to Wilco.

Right OK so maybe its normal then? The link in your reply takes me to a access denied page so I don't know what you are trying to show me.

Thanks for your reply scoob!

Regards, Paul.

Paul, you need to sign up there to access the forums. But it looks like a solution to your problem.

That's done it, all sorted now. Many thanks to you both. I had a feeling it would be something simple.

Thanks again. Very much appreciated your help, CoolP & scoob.

Kind regards, Paul.
