Two Addon Manager ?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone i am currently having some problems with captain sim 757 an 767. These problems i never used to have them ontil i intall a payware an it came with this option telling me that all payware most used the addon manager. So i said to myself but don't have that already so i click on no , an then the option told me again are you sure you don't want to install the add on manager . So then i said what the heck lets run the addon manager. So now when i run fsx i notice it said add on the menu, an under add it said addon manager . So i notice i have two addon manager. So i was saying to myself does this cause any issue to my other payware like the PMDG or captain sim 757 an 767 . Because the only two things i did was to register my FSUIPC 4.60. An then now when i used the 757 i get that my A/T don't want to work . Even at the runway when i takeoff i can't used TOGA mode for takeoff it doesn't work. An i do all the steps right for the IRS. No autopilot works . An everything used to work before i don't understand. Does having these two addon manager affects this an anyway ? Please let me know what you guys suggest for me to do ?

That's the sentence needing some more information. To which 'addon manager' are you referring to?

Now there is a program like that, from FSDT. But it's only used to get their sceneries and tools running and some stuff from Flightbeam and QW. And one title form Aerosoft I think. Might be that the actual name ('addon manager') suggest a more general usage, for all addons, but this isn't true. So if you don't have anything from FSDT, FB or QW, you don't need that program. It shouldn't harm any installed addon though.

The CS planes don't use or need anything being called addon manager, same for PMDG planes. Regarding the problems with the CS ones, I'd recommend the official CS forums. Some problems may derive from user errors or already received a solution. So feel free to use the search feature. For new things, of course report them or ask other users about it.

You must have confused some of the names: it's not possible to end up with two "Addon Manager" menu entries under the "Addons" menu, so one of these addons must have installed something with a similar name, but that doesn't have anything to do with the FSDT Addon Manager, which is needed by all FSDT products, plus the Qualitywings 757 and Flightbeam KSFO and it's installed automatically by these addons, but you are not offered a *choice* to install it, it's always installed because without it those won't work. Since you said you have been offered a choice during the installation, it must be something else, perhaps with a similar name.
