Annoying FSX ATC bug - Window Focus

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I had to do an FSX re-install and have noticed a problem I never used to have:

I use FSX ATC - and find that in some instances, the ATC window loses "focus" and when I press "1" to respond to ATC, nothing happens unless I close and re-open the ATC window (using ' ` ') or click on the top of the ATC window itself. This is an annoying step especially during a busy phase of flight ... and worst of all, I never used to have this problem before.

Can anyone provide any suggestions on how to fix?

Thank you,

Sam Kharey

Hello Sam,

I have had the same in the past, I don't think its a bug, just that you have clicked elsewhere outside the ATC window and it has been unselected.

You can easily and quickly get it back to working order by hitting the [`] button twice in a row (its to the left of the [1] button). This will make the ATC window active again. But reading your post again I see that you have already figured that one out ;-)

Otherwise I would suggest to stop using the FSX ATC as it is pretty poorly programmed. More fun to fly online on one of the servers with real people :-)

Good luck!

That's what I used to do. It's not a bug.
