May 17, 201214 yr Hey gang, I have new controllers coming for my setup, I will be retiring my current setup consisting of the TM Cougar with Elite Rudder Pedals. They will be replaced with the newer TM Warthog setup , along with the Saitek Combat rudder pedals. In fact, these are out for delivery today - just waiting for that little brown truck to show up... So I am wondering, if it would be best for me to delete the standard.xml file for Flight under controls, and let it rebuild after I have installed the new Warthog? Will it just rebuild itself if I delete it? Or should I just leave it and see how it works out recognizing the new controller? Thanks for any tips, Don B
May 17, 201214 yr You can leave everything as it is: when you plug in new hardware, everything will automatically be added to that xml file: each controller gets its own section. I don't know if a new xml will be rebuild when you delete it... If you want to, you could remove the sections concerning your old hardware from the xml.
May 17, 201214 yr It will automatically add new sections for your new controllers. The sections for your old controllers will remain left behind. You can delete those sections manually if you like, but it shouldn't hurt anything to leave them alone. I looked hard at that same setup you choose, but blinked at the price. :Hypnotized:
May 17, 201214 yr Author Sounds like a plan, that is what I will do then. Thanks Jeroen, RoboRay! I will need to create a new joystick profile for Flight, but it is pretty simple and should not take very long. I looked hard at that same setup you choose, but blinked at the price. Lol, yeah I have been looking very hard and blinking several times over the last few months. I finally decided what the heck and pulled the trigger, the timing was right and I had the funds available at this time. Don B
