May 18, 201214 yr Hello, I purchased my copy of RC4.2 in 2006 via regualar delivery (dowload version didn't exist those days). Today, after submitting of my name, the address on the initial order and appoximate time of purchase I requested the link for v4.3 that I received from JD relatively fast. After RC was intalled on my PC, I was routinely asked to submit Order ID together with my name that I did. To my suprise I received a message from JD that ID is invalid because of some "alpha characters". I didn't enter any "alpha characters" - merely copied and pasted my Order ID (10 digits)<space>!<space> FirstName<space> !<space> LastName. Then I repeated my attemp with various combinations, with and without spaces, and received no answer from RC so far that I treat as the fact my ID was considered invalid forever. At this point I don't know what to do next and your advise would be much appreciated. May 18, 201214 yr For registration itself you need to paste in the product ID in the registration dialog. since jd sent you the link he is now updating your user information and your purchasing order id is not used in the actual registration process. Also include any - that is in the product id. Is this what you are referring to?
May 18, 201214 yr Author Ron, Your confusing Order ID which is self-generated by the installer (and which is invalid according to John D) with the registration key that I'm supposed to receive upon validation of the order ID. JD said that my Order ID is invalid, but how it can be invalid if I have no power to influence this ID generation. May 19, 201214 yr Are you getting the registration screen below? I pointed out the Product ID number which needs to be in the outgoing e-mail whether manual or automatic. This example has the - to be included. You should then receive your key code via e-mail to place as indicated. Be sure when pasting in the key code no extra spaces are added in. The cursor should fall after the last character.
May 19, 201214 yr Author Yes I am getting this screen, but as I mentioned above John said that Product ID is invalid. Now I'm going to uninstall 4.3 the link to which John send me and install 4.2 from the disc and see what happens. Thanks Dmitriy 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
May 19, 201214 yr Author UPDATE: Just reintalled RC4.2 from the disk and exactly the same 10-digits order ID was generated. Now I'm totally confused. How this should be send to Jonn? XXXXXXXXXX!FirstName!LastName OR XXXXXXXXXX ! First Name ! LastName John hasn't been responding to my e-mails since Friday's morning. Thanks Dmitriy UPDATE2: Uninstalled 4.2, intalled 4.3. Now the order ID is different and I send it to [email protected]. Manually records the Order ID into e-mail request (no copy/pasting). Keep my fingers crossed. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

May 19, 201214 yr Now that you have 4.3 successfully installed be sure to update FSUIC and Makerwys from these links and then update your scenery db. These versions are newer than the distribution download and may affect your RC scenery data. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/ http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/
May 20, 201214 yr Author Thanks Ronzie, I presume that makerwys should be at the main FS folder. Correct? 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
May 20, 201214 yr Yes. makerwys goes into your FS main folder. If RC is on the same PC, answer NO to the WideFS question and put in the path to your FS main folder. The answer the OK's that pop-up. The last file generated is a4.csv and wait a few seconds before closing RC. If RC is not on the same PC then run makerwys.exe first directly in the FS folder. The start RC and run the scenery rebuild answering YES to the WideFS question and put in the full network path to the host pc fs folder. The process should then continue as above. See page 116 in the RC43 manual. FWIW I prefer to keep in a text file linked to the desktop the full path to FS such as: h:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator 9 which I can then copy and paste into the path dialog when the scenery rebuild dialog requests it. (ctrl-c to copy and ctrl-v to paste in most windows version.) This avoids typing errors in the long path statement since you'll have to enter the path each time you rebuild the scenery data after adding or modifying scenery.
