KSNA to KAPA via J236 & J128, with a strange scenery anomaly

All from Beech King Air C90T at 25,000,

Very strange scenery anomaly near Thermal VOR (TRM). Using UTX and REX. Not sure what caused this but it created a spectacular sight.
