Very few jetways ISD Rome Life FSX

Featured Replies

Just installed the FSX version of ISD LIRF., I already had the FS9 version.

Like to compliment Hamda for re-working this Airport for FSX, have waited a long time to get LIRF for FSX.

I have a issue that I have very few jetways, my display settings are fine so I know that is not the problem.

Have others this same problem?

Have attached a couple of photo's to show what I mean.

First photo is FS9 second FSX

Did you read the read-me? In there it says that there are only a few positons fitted with moving jetways ("fingers"). These positions come to life by entering the NAV2 freqs specified in the manual on page 6.

"In the scenery there are 16 position (fingers e simple stands) with animated means

There are 4 different position:

Regional: for aircraft like ATR Embraer o fokker which not need stairs.

Small : for aircraft like MD80 o 737

Medium: for aircraft like A32X B757

Heavy: for aircraft like 767 777 and 747

Hope this helps,

Thanks for your replies.

1) The setting in Options/Disply/Settings/Scenery Objects is extremley dense.

2) I have very few jetways, as shown on the photo, If as suggested using the NAV I only get a movable jetway at on gate.

Also I do not have issues at other airports, do you have in installed LIRF?, maybe a scenery file is missing.

Maybe I should contact Hamda who converted the scenery.

I won't get to try it till Sunday evening/Monday morning (CET), but if you don't get a solution earlier I'll post my experience here.

Cheers

Found an up-dat fix for FSX for ISD LIRF on AVSIM from 2009 where I have to copy the original LIFR Scenery folder but disable several scenery files plus a new Afcad to make it work in FSX.

It works fine, the jetways are there as in FS9 but I am getting a lot of stutters (i.e. when moving aircraft in "Y" mode) which I do not get in the 2012 version from Hamda.

So I still think that a scenery file is missing or maybe not/is disabled.

Looking forward to your experience.

Once again thanks for your imput.

EDIT!!!

Noticed that the FS9 LIRF scenery file had a few more files, copied and pasted in FSX.

When asked to overwrite I checked NO, the extra files then went automatically into FSX, now I have the gates and no stutters. Not noticed any issues up to now.

Hopefully issues solved ( temporary ?)

The was a small fix on AVSIM today but this do not correct the missing Jetway issue.
