Hello,

I am having trouble installing a second livery for the NGX the first one Installed correctly but the second one did not as the engine spinners are not present and the anti collision light is always illuminated (see picture below). I have tried getting in touch with support, but no verification email was sent to my email address, no matter how many times I click resend in the preferences tab.

The liveries were both downloaded from pmdg and the livery manager is set to run as administrator the NGX is also up to date with service pack 1C installed.

 

Any help on both of these problems would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are not using the NGX as the default aircraft. Something like the MS default trike should be loaded as a startup aircraft. Then load the NGX.

yeah no it is not loading as the default aircraft, this is when I select the aircraft from the menu. this problem sort of alternates if I was to install this livery first then it would look normal and if I loaded the other livery it would also look like this. I wonder if one of the PMDG administrators could help me with my confirmation email problem so I can send a proper support ticket.

Ok, see what you are doing now. You cannot do that either Scott. You must re start FSX to load another livery. IE once you select a livery of choice, you go with it, or re start fsx. Loading another livery in the Free Flight screen or after fsx is loaded will cause the issues you describe. It is not a fault or bug, it is just the way PMDG have designed it. It is their recommendation to never load the NGX twice in one sitting. Hope that helps.

In my experience you don't have to re-start FSX in order to use another livery, what I normally do is load the default piper or the trike and then load another livery. Second livery works just fine afterwards
