Overclocking Bios Settings for the 2600k

Featured Replies

Im trying to find the bios setup PICs that Word Not Allowed posted here some time ago that I used to overclock my 2600k to 5.0

Im unable to find them again, anyone know where to look or some other setup pics similar to follow.

thanks

Dont just plug those settings in, even Word Not Allowed recommended NOT to do that.

A +0.16 offset is very extreme / risky... will put your CPU over 1.5v.

Recent 2700s should be able to do 4.8 with voltage in the 1.32 range.

Basically stock settings with a offset of 0.04 is where I hover around.

If your having a hard time getting all 4 cores stable at 48,

The overclock by core setting is something to consider as well,

Say 48,48,47,46, to keep voltages tame.

FSX seldom needs all 4 cores in my testing.

Yeah thanks all,

I'm stable at 4.8 on my 2600k so I'm using a different offset, but I will be updating my bios soon and just wanted to set some of the other stuff to his, like speedstep,CPUID limit and crap like that - that I dont know anything about.

thanks
