New to AS2012, rain/WindshieldPrecipitationEffects question

Featured Replies

Howdy y'all,

I have FEX and AS21012 running with some good results, I got caught in a rain storm over Portland Maine today and decided to land, the rain effect, overcast effect and wet runway effects/reflections are awesome. But I'm not seeing any water drops on my windshield?

Is this a limitation of FSX or am I missing a setting or something? I checked in my fsx.cfg and it is set to:

WindshieldPrecipitationEffects=1

Is this correct? Because as far as I could tell there was no effect on my windshield at all, I never even had to use my wipers.

The rain was really come'n down too:

thanks for any help/advice/info

Haven't paid that much attention to it but IIRC the raindrops effect was lost in FSX for some reason. Might want to google FSX rain drops for more info.
