Cant here any voices anymore

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm having a weird issue that I never had before even after years of usage. I cant hear any voices at all anymore.

I can hear the sounds from the sim just fine and also everyting from FS2crew NGX.

Everything else seems to be working just fine so I dont understand why I cant hear ATC. I'm sure it's something I did but can't seem to figure out what.

This is the sound setup I have:

Sim sounds: Speakers

ATC: Should be headset

FS2Crew: Head set

Any tips would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

Chris Verner

RC is not subject to the FSX mixer and sound splits. It just uses the normal Win wav mixer slider and master speaker output slider.

If you play something outside of FS is your headset working? How is your sound card set up.

Are you using a networked PC for RC? That's the way to get RC on headsets on the client and FS sounds on the host.

Here's a basic test without using FS. Load up RC and go to the voices tab. Select a voice and click the speaker icon to play a sample. Check your audio settings until you do. RC voices are monaural wave files.

Excellent! I'll give that a go this evening.

Thanks for answering :-) Much appreciated.

Thanks Ron,

All is good again. It was the default sound device that I had changed.

Thanks again
