Home cockpit and the NGX (new modules)
Hi guys, Actualy it was realy simple because CPFlight has a driver That supports the NGX. It's plug and play. I have the EFIS, MCP and i also use the FDS AFDS. I also added some LEDs for the MIP through the CPFlight board eg: - speed brake armed - ALL landing gear announciators - flaps annouciators Have fun :-) Chris Verner I Like the FDS stuff but i got a good deal on a used EL so i went for That. Thanks Chris Verner

Home cockpit and the NGX (new modules)
Hi guys, I finished setting up my Flightdeck solutions AFDS plugged in to a CPFlight MIP737 board. Almost everything worked right after doing the wiring. The only thing I'm having an issue with is the common for the test switch. The FDS AFDS seems to only use one common wire for both the push buttons and the test switch and the CPFlight board seems to be expecting a different common wire for the switch and the push buttons. I'll figure it out for sure. I tried a flight with the NGX this afternoon and t he LEDs worked as expected along with the push buttons. So far, so good :-) Merry Xmas! Chris

Home cockpit and the NGX (new modules)
Hi Ed, I will for sure. I received the MIP737 board from CPFlight. It's already installed. I am currently still waiting for the AFDS to arrive. Peter from FDS told me it should be here on Monday or Tuesday next week. As for your question, I will be building a MIP out of MDF and using the FDS panels on it. I am building the MIP structure myself to save some $. If you do a search with my user name will be able to see my current setup. I posted a video of it. I don't have the link at the moment. Thanks Chris

737NGX Cockpit edition?
I will be building the MIP myself out of MDF but I will get the panels from FDS. I live in Quebec and they are in Ontario so the shipping is super fast and no brokerage fees of any sort. Just regular sales tax and that comes up much much cheaper. Good luck with your project! it's ooking awsome. If you want o see my setup. it's here: It's in french but you will get the point i'm sure. 737NGX Cockpit edition?
Hi Shaun, I saw your website earlier. Good stuff you have there. Alot of DIY. I'm more of a modules guy myself but very nice work you have done so far. I just got my MIP737 board yesterday and mounted it in my MCP/EFIS rack. I'm supposed yo get my AFDS today from Flightdecksolutions. I wil then be adding some switches (like you did) until I get my full size MIP done. Glad to see i'm not he only guy doing this ;-)

Home cockpit and the NGX (new modules)

737NGX Cockpit edition?
Yes yes!!!! So far i'm using the NGX because I don't have all the hardware. I just have the CPFlight MCP, EFIS and AFDS from FDS but the minute I can switch to a forward view without any 3d cockpit, it would be great to still use the NGX. The flight dynamics are simply the best out there so far.

737 handles for saitek quad
Hi guys, I know this has been posted before but I can't seem to get proper results from the search engine (I hate that thing. I'ts too complicated to make a simple search). I want to buy the 737 handles for the saitek quad but can't find the guy's website. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks Chris

Home cockpit and the NGX (new modules)
Hi guys, I just ordered some parts for my home cockpit setup so I'll be posting a few pics when the stuff comes in. So far, i've been using the CPFlight MCP & EFIS with the NGX and i'm loving it. I just ordered the Flightdeck Solutions AFDS panel w/electronics and also the MIP Board from CPFlight to connect everything together. If anyone has experience with that module/board used with the NGX I would be curious to hear your comments on them. Thanks Chris

Official Groundroll Enhancement Thread...
Hi Steve, One question: I also use a shaker but there is no bass sound when the main gear touches the ground. I know you dont usualy hear it but it would be great to feel it. Is there any way a low frequency sound could be added to add this effect? I would love to "feel" the gear touching the ground. ps: Been using your sounds for a while a would not fly the 737 without them. Great job! Thanks Chris

CPFlight MCP vs FS2Crew issue
Ho. OK. I'll wait then. Thanks for looking into this. I really appreciate it. Thanks Chris

CPFlight MCP vs FS2Crew issue
That's exact. I'm only seeimg this issue with the right FD. Is there a way to have that fixed? Thanks Chris

CPFlight MCP vs FS2Crew issue
No. I wait until the FO turns it on in the sim then I flip the switch on the MCP. It stays on for a while and I dont know when it actualy goes off in the sim. It usualy happens during the pre-flight phase. I usualy get cought when i'm ready for take off. I flip the TOGA switch and nothing happens. Even if my switch is on for the FO FD, it's off in the sim. What I do then is to turn it off on the MCP and back on quickly and after that it stays on. Very weird. Thanks Chris

Little video for the english peeps out there LOL
Thanks Dennis, I have gotten this comment alot since yesterday and I think i'll keep doing just that. My next video will also include the communication with FS2Crew and Radar Contact (or online) so you guys can hear them. I was going for the educational type video instead of the "showing my great graphics" type video (althought i also do have have great graphics LOL) I was also thinking about a few surprises in the editing process like a picture in picture thing. I'm still working on that. Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. My wife just thinks i'm crazy so it's nice to hear a compliment on the setup from time to time because I put alot of time and effort into it. No I don't. I will be getting the CPFlight ones soon. They are great quality and are replicas of the real thing. You will be seeing them in future videos. I plan on building a full size 737 cockpit in the not so distant future. I'm allready working on the MIP. Hi, hearing the comms and FO will be happening in the next video. I sometimes fly online but not very often because of the lack of ATC coverage. I probably will be doing more of the online flying when I finish my pedestal for radio handling etc. Thanks for the comment. To all: I'm very happy with the response I'm getting for the video. I will be doing more of them for sure! I will try to upload a new one each week with different procedures and keep them educational. If I can help other simmers in the process it makes me a happy camper. ^_^ I realy did not expect this kind of response from these videos. I'm realy pleased and will be doing more that's for sure. Thanks again for your comments and if you want to see specific procedures, please let me know and i'll do my best to make a video of them. Chris
