December 5, 201213 yr Hi guys, I need to program the spoilers using FSUIPC for my NGX. I have a Saitek quad. I tried a few things but I cant seem to get it to work. Does anyone have some info on that? Screenshots maybe? Thanks Chris Chris Verner Home cockpit builder ...well trying anyway
December 5, 201213 yr Of your just wanting to arm them setup a key in the FMC them use FSUIPC to assign a key press to the action on the throttle. Same can be done to raise or lower them. Randy Swofford
December 6, 201213 yr I mapped mine directly through FSX controls and checked the reverse box. Works fine on my system. Didn't need to use FSUIPC. /shrug AJ Pongress
December 6, 201213 yr Hi guys, I need to program the spoilers using FSUIPC for my NGX. I have a Saitek quad. I tried a few things but I cant seem to get it to work. Does anyone have some info on that? Screenshots maybe? Thanks Chris Hi Chris, it is very simple...go into the Axis tab, hit "rescan"...move the lever you wish to assign to the Spoilers and make sure you see the values go from idle to full and that the axis found is correct...if it sint, just hit "Rescan" again and move it once more until it looks ok. Then select "Send to FSUIPC Calibration" and in the dropdown menu select "spoilers". Once this is done, do not exit FSUIPC or hit "oK", just simply go to Joystick Calibration, find the tab which has "Spoilers"...tick "select" and also tick "reverse"....move your spoiler fully up and hit the corresponding value, same to enter the lowest vallue, press ok and you are done! If you have problems let me know.. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
December 6, 201213 yr Be aware of the danger of mapping the SPOILERS to an AXIS on a controller. Any "noise", or dirty potentiometer on that axis, can cause a slight change in the spoiler value. Any "slight change" of the spoiler value, triggers an Event in FSX, to update the spoiler value. A "noisy" axis, can therefore cause a large number of Events, that can degrade your FSX Performance. If you are in a Multiplayer session, then those Spoiler Events are sent over the Lan/Internet connect, and can have a very sever negative effect on the Multiplayer session. This is, and always has been an issue with AXIS mapped spoilers. Maybe Peter Dowson might in interested in putting some processing in FSUIPC to prevent this. (Nobody need spoiler resolution of 1 in 16,384 !!!) Processing to only allow an Event if the value changes by say >5% would be a possible solution.

I agree, I have the same configuration. No FSUIPC required. spoilers work fine. Sometimes FSUIPC makes things even worse. December 6, 201213 yr Author Thanks guys, I don't know what I was doing wrong before but I was now able to configure them in FSUIPC and all is working. Thanks for the procedure! :-) Chris Chris Verner Home cockpit builder ...well trying anyway
