CPFlight MCP vs FS2Crew issue

Featured Replies

Hi Bryan,

FS2Crew is working great but i'm having this one issue. I have the CPFlight MCP and EFIS as you saw in my video and i'm having problems with the first officer flight director. I allways start my flights in the long turn around panel state and run PF from the FS2Crew menu. I allways wait before turning on the actual FD switches on my MCP until after the first officer has turned them on in the sim. The problem is that every time I turn the FD on for the FO on my physical MCP, it gets turned off in the sim. I usualy have to turn it back off and then on again for it to stick to the on position in the sim.

Any idea what is causing this and how it can be fixed?

The rest is working flawlessly.

Thanks

Chris

No. I wait until the FO turns it on in the sim then I flip the switch on the MCP. It stays on for a while and I dont know when it actualy goes off in the sim. It usualy happens during the pre-flight phase.

I usualy get cought when i'm ready for take off. I flip the TOGA switch and nothing happens. Even if my switch is on for the FO FD, it's off in the sim. What I do then is to turn it off on the MCP and back on quickly and after that it stays on.

Very weird.

Thanks

Chris

I just looked at the code.

I think it's a bug in the PMDG SDK.

FS2Crew's checks the position of the FO's flight director before flipping it.

The SDK may not be reading the position of the Right Flight Director switch properly.

So FS2Crew reads the switch as being off, even though it's on, and then toggles the switch.

It only seems to apply to the Right FD switch.

I assume you don't have the same problem with the Left FD switch.

That's exact. I'm only seeimg this issue with the right FD.

Is there a way to have that fixed?

Thanks

Chris
