How to turn off realtime weather in a WX file?

Featured Replies

I have downloaded the "Hopping round the World" series Number 1.When I load each flight, the Sim tries to connect me to the Net to download real weather -- and sometimes , for a reason unknown to me , this causes the Sim to lockup. Under normal conditions of setting up my own flight, I can connect to real weather without any problems.Anyway, is there any way I can manually go into the WX file and turn off the requirement to use real weather in this series of flights??Thanks Barry

I'm not sure about this - but...the .wx file isn't easily editable, but what happens if you just delete it for that flight? Second, if you open the .flt file in notepad, is there a weathertype= parameter or some such that might be editable? Check this post by vilk in the dreamflights forum: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search Someone will be able to answer this...and if you figure it out, please post back! That's good info.Best,sg
