June 6, 201214 yr I know you probably will celebrate another birthday Pete...Before Wilco replies...But I'd contact them and hope they can guide you to a solution? On the other hand have you tried turning the knobs? I don't ave this addon, usually there is a knob at th ebottom of the instrument you can turn with your mouse???
June 6, 201214 yr Of course you can do it, and it is very easy. You just have to go to the RAD NAV page of the MCDU and you will find the course setting (CRS) for VOR1 (line 2, left) and VOR2 (line 2, right). For the ILS, it is the same: go to the RAD NAV page of the MCDU, enter the name or frequency of the ILS (except if it is automatically tuned) and enter the course in the line below. Please note that in most cases, all this is done automatically because as soon as you define the arrival runway, the FMGC will automatically set the ILS frequency and course when the approach phase is engaged. This phase is automatically engaged if you follow the route, when you pass the magenta dot. If not, you can engage it manually in the PERF page by pressing "ACTIVATE APPROACH PHASE" (which requires confirmation). You see, the Airbus logic is different from Boeing, but when you are used to it, you realize it is quite convenient. Eric My Web Site
June 28, 201213 yr Hello there! Whenever I tried to change the VOR1/VOR2 course from the MCDU, it says; "not allowed". Do you know about it? Thank you!
July 23, 201213 yr Hey there, It says "not allowed" but in PERF page you should activate the APPR Phase (make sure to confirm it). Once you activated the APPR Phase it is automatically tuned in there. Airbus is way too different than Boeing. In Normal law, I think it actually hates if you wanna do something manually. You canreadabout the Airbus control modes here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_control_modes_(electronic)#Flight_control_laws_.28Airbus.29 Hope you can now do an ILS landing. Of course if you are established and you have visual contact with the RWY you can turn off the AP and do the rest of it manually.
