June 6, 201213 yr Hello guys. When trying to load a flightplan i get the 73 error. I read the sticky in this forum about how to solve this problem but i cant find where to get the "msstdfmt.dll" file from. There are only one link provided in the sticky thread and that link tells me the site does no longer exist. So does anyone know where i can get this file from? Thanks for your time!
June 6, 201213 yr Hey! You can get the file from here. Download the zipfile and not the program. Extract the zipfile it into your RC folder and open up the CMD. When i inside the CMD, go to your RC folder (the same folder which you extracted the dll file). When you are inside the RC folder type "regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll" It should work now. Nathan
June 6, 201213 yr That .dll is actually a runtime library file used by more than RC. I recommend you put it into one of the system folders applicable to your Win version as stated in the pinned topic in case other applications you have need it. It keeps the organization consistent. That .dll used to be distributed with earlier Win versions. Once in the folder follow the correct regsrvr procedure.

I downloaded the file and after a few attempts at registring the file i got it working. However, to actually get it working i had to leave out the " /U " in "regsvr /u msstdfmt.dll". Until i did that, i was still getting the error when trying to load a flightplan. Any idea why it worked when i left out the /u?
