Hello,

Anyone had problems with the goflight MCP Advanced, like rotating an encoder to increase a value and the value going down ?

I can't set a precise value in HDG for example, if I need 230 I go to 229, 232, but very hard to set the wanted value.

Changed USB ports, etc, in some USB the module freezes, when it doesn't freeze I have the encoder problem.

Any suggestion from sending it back to GF ?

Thanks a lot,

Ulisses

Hello

Make sure you are running it from a USB 1.0 powered hub that has a good steady 500mv supply.

My HUB is 2.0, I'm using a powered Dlink.

I tried it directly in a PCI 1.0 USB 4-port board, it helps in not freezing, but encoders are wrong.

Thanks,

Ulisses

Send it to GF and ask for a firmware upgrade. The current one is A25. You can check Your firmware when booting the device - in left course selector look for a 'Axx' indicating firmware revision.

I remember bell ringing, the newest firmware does not work with PDMG747 hardware driver, since it does not contain serial number anymore, but please ask GF team for details.

I have gone this way because I had similar issues - all the rotaries turned in one direction generates movement in sim in both directions.

My MCP Pro is working mostly fine in FSX with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and connected to USB 2.0 hobs, but it will not lock on the displayed course line in NAV mode.

Anyone have any ideas why? I have emailed GoFlight support, but my experience there is that they are slower than Vermont molasses in their replies.
