June 9, 201213 yr Greetings everyone I'll try and keep this simple. I recently upgraded (?) my GPU to a PNY GeForce GTX 680 (traded in my EVGA GeForce GTX 580) and I have been experiencing annoying stutters when panning around in Spot or Locked Spot views in FSX. All other views do not exhibit the stuttering effect. This is always happening when descending to my destination in more detailed IMC weather conditions (ie. overcast/CB/rain) which I intentionally set up using current version of ASE2012. I fly the PMDG 737NGX. My frames are consistantly good (30+) however the stuttering effect is always there. Here are some of the modifications I have made with no success: Optimized my FSX.cfg file using the venetubo website as recommended by PMDG Disabled the BufferPools and RejectThreshhold lines Reviewed Word Not Allowed's tweaks and adjusted the Vsync refresh rate setting using Nvidia inspector ver.1.9.6.5 Adjusted the 3D cloud resolution setting in ASE2012 from 2048 to 1024 Running the most current Nvidia driver GeForce 301.42 Keep FPS setting to unlimited inside FSX...I do not use an external FPS limiter I have read through this forum countless times to see if anyone else is having stuttering issues with a GTX680 but I cant seem to find a solution to the problem. What else can I do???? Thanks John John Pipilas Win 10 - i7 2600k CPU - AMD Radeon R9 Fury X GPU

June 9, 201213 yr Usually every 2 seconds or more..it is sporadic... Ah ok, because I currently have a stutter which is totally periodic, every two seconds, and also goes in time with the default aircraft's rotating beacons. Luke Harvest
June 9, 201213 yr Keep FPS setting to unlimited inside FSX...I do not use an external FPS limiter You need to lock FPS in FSX to 30 when using the 1/2 Vsync tweak. This is likely the root of your problem.
June 10, 201213 yr Author You need to lock FPS in FSX to 30 when using the 1/2 Vsync tweak. This is likely the root of your problem. Locked FPS to 30 in FSX....and disabled the ForceFullScreenVsync=1 in FSX.cfg....seems to be the solution.....Thanks for that! John Pipilas Win 10 - i7 2600k CPU - AMD Radeon R9 Fury X GPU
