This is really odd...

Hi everyone,

Since a few days I've encountered a PC problem twice, which is the strangest PC problem I've ever seen. What basically happened is that at some point my screen went black, and my computer totally shut down. All the LED lights went off, all fans turned off, everything suddenly turned itself off. I couldn't understand why it suddenly happened so I just restarted my PC. And here's the more odd part: 1 second after having pushed the power button to put my PC back on, I was RIGHT AWAY back in Windows with FSX and all programs still running! How is this possible? There was no boot procedure or something, just right away back into Windows. It has happened twice to me so far, I really can't understand what the problem is...

Anybody else ever encountered this?

Thanks.

Sounds like your PC went into sleep mode.

Happened a few times to me when my 3 year old came along and pressed a button on my keyboard that put it to "sleep".

That's what I was thinking of!

Ensure, You do not have the PC in sleep mode. Some (well, most of them) PCs flash the power LED to indicate the computer is in sleep mode.

Hey you guys could be right about this! Cuz I grabbed my keyboard and hit it against the bottom of my monitor (by accident), that might have pressed the button that puts it into sleep mode!

Guys, thanks! I managed to reproduce it. There is a key on my keyboard saying Zzzz. Which apparently means "sleepmode". :LMAO: I turned it off in Control Panel.

Thanks!
