June 13, 201213 yr Hey guys, I am renaming 55J (Fernandina Beach Muni) to its new KFHB and some other changes. When I save the new file, both appear in my airport lists, and both AFCADs are laying on top of eachother in the sim. Is there a way to delete the 55J?
June 13, 201213 yr It is generally not possible to remove a stock airport entirely. You can remove all the various visual bits and facilities by deleting them in something like AFX or ADE. However the airport information for the stock airport will remain in the airport lists. This is because that information exists in the stock files. The only way to eliminate it entirely is to edit the stock file containing that airport. To be honest we really do not recommend doing that. Apart from the issue of hacking stock files there is also a risk of messing up the other airports in the same file. Most stock airport files contain multiple (sometimes hundreds) of airports. June 13, 201213 yr I think also you can create a "stub" airport file (use the elev change tool in ADE) and change the name/city/etc so it doesn't show up in the lists. The only thing you can't change is the ICAO. scott s. .
