June 20, 201213 yr Hi, For years I've used two monitors- one 20", the other a 19" 4:3 size. The 19" died on me and I replaced it with a MAG 22" LED H2201L monitor as the main scrreen. Now things appear very different, and frankly, not what I expected. The panels are stretched sideways, with the gauges compressed to ellipses, not like the round shapes before. It looks awful. Even the square display screns such as the ND look squashed. Now I know monitors come in wide mode nowadays but the result for FS is not optimal. The only plus is watching movies which look great on my new monitor. Any suggestons? Or is it a question of getting used to the new look. Eytan
June 20, 201213 yr Hi Eytan I have a 24" wide screen monitor and it displays FS9 OK. First of all I made sure that the display resolution in FS9 was set to the same resolution in WIndows which, in my case, is the maximum resolution that my nVidia card allows. I then allowed my monitor to "auto" adjust itself to display everything - in other words, I didn't adjust height or width myself. As a thought, just make sure that in the FS9.CFG file you don't have any "old" resolutions still showing there from your now defunct monitor. And I would also check in Windows that the screen refresh rate is set correctly for your new monitor - often "auto detect". Hope this may help you. David
June 20, 201213 yr Depending on your graphics card, you may be able to fix it so that FS9 starts in 4:3 mode. This is how I run it on my widescreen monitor because I don't like the stretched look of the 2D panels. For nvidia type cards do the following: 1. Go to the nvidia control panel, then select "Adjust desktop size and position", 2. Check the option "Do not scale" for using a resolution lower than display's native resolution. Then, whn FS9 starts it will be in 4:3 ratio with black bands on the screen to the left and right. It is quite acceptable. Graeme Butler
