Choosing between three GA aircraft

Featured Replies

If I can belatedly chip in here - of the 3 models mentioned I have Ants Tecnam, and the A2a Piper cub.

Ants is a great aircraft - but here is the difference between that, and I beleive the Wilga and an Accusim'd Piper Cub.

With the Piper Cub you get an adventure. -

Ant's Tecnam is a well designed aircraft that is a pleasure to fly with options to turn on and off certain features. For the Wilga I have no experience, but hopefully someone else can chip in and confrim its peformance etc.

As for A2a's Cub, you nurse this aircraft along like you would a real aircraft . Your pax (Heidi) is responsive to your flying ability with 3 different settings of response. I believe this is more of an immersion factor that gets you fully involved in a flight, takeoff and landing. With all those creaks and groans and Heidi sounding frightened or happy or panicky.

What is the difference between Accusim and accufeel?

By default Accufeel is disabled automatically if you have the cub with Accusim - If you don't have Accusim, you miss out on engine perfomance and Maintenance schedule, a free rototating prop that can be restarted in the air by diving to increase speed, the additional creaks and groans that Accufeel gives (but with more generic sounds), and lastly, vibration and shudder - which, in my opinion,is much more realistic. (I have both Accusim and Accufeel).

So there you go. Yes the Cub is low and slow - but with Orbx scenery it is a joy to fly!

I suspect you will not be disappointed, one thing you can say for sure, is that everything A2A makes is excellent.
