CTD 2nm before landing

Featured Replies

I'm sure you have all been here before, flying 11 hours (in my case from Helsinki to Singapore) in the MD only to have a fatal error and subsequent crash of FSX 2nm before touchdown.

I was happy to see VATSIM ATC present as I was 200nm out, I was requested to contact tower on final approach. As I did so, he was just giving me clearance to land when....... BAM! Everything froze! As you can imagine, I was disappointed to say the least!

Now this happened to me before due to OoM errors, but this time something else caused it. I'm not sure what but I was wondering if anyone has found a solution for this kind of crash.

I am running on *******' configuration, have the UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL in the right place, no add-ons for Singapore airport and there was only one other aircraft in the area doing touch and go's...

My further specs in my signature.

Hope someone has a useful suggestion for me!

What code of failure?

I has a lot CTD before an year ago,i tried using few ways to fix,UIAUTOMATIONCORE and *******' configuration and disable DEP,maybe disable DEP will solve problem, also if still happen again then purchase FSUIPC,i remember last FSUIPC has include fix g3d.dll failure.

Hi there, thanks for your reply. I believe this is the error report that Win7 created for me:

Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3

Faulting module name: TCAS2v7.dll, version: 1.1.6.0, time stamp: 0x4633aecd

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x00006186

Faulting process id: 0x108c

Faulting application start time: 0x01cd4d7678a32904

Faulting application path: D:\FSX\fsx.exe

Faulting module path: D:\FSX\TCAS2v7.dll

Report Id: ee0c8459-ba14-11e1-a18a-c85d5120f78b

Looks like the TCAS failed somehow... What do you think?

Quick question... how are you able to figure out what code or 'error report' crashed FS9? My FS9 had been crashing lately but I can't seem to find an error code.

Greg

TCAS2V7.dll,this failure code not happened before, but you can try disable DEP,maybe can fix it.

@Greg You can find out failure code in windows "control panel">"system control tool",because i using chinese windows,so i don't know what call in english.
