Just a couple that are probably on my end but aren't addressed in the manual so hoping to get some help here.

 

1.) Sometimes I get the transition altitude coming down and sometimes I don't.

2.) I'm getting a 500' call when i'm at 8000 ' sometimes and no where near a runway.

3.) We're not stabilized when vectoring in the terminal area...not even on an approach nor even flaps 1

 

Any suggestions?

Also on top of this, the FO DOES NOT do any of the flows at 10000 feet

Transition level on the descent is not done either.

 

Transition level has been set to 18000 on the descent page (forecast)

 

Any ideas on all of these things. I don't see these problems with others so i'm just wondering if there is something i'm missing.

Hi Bill,

 

I think the problem is this:

 

In the FSX units of measurement option, make sure you're using "Feet" for altitudes and not "meters".

 

If it's set to meters, all altitude based triggers will be out of whack.
