July 7, 201213 yr Author Well I got X-Plane 10 and have been flying it for a few days now. It's a huge difference from XP9! The autogen is just on another level and the lighting and dynamic shadowing is out of this world. I know that the cities are not necessarily accurate, But they are definitely believable and that is what I was looking forward to, Austin's "plausible world". Surprisingly i am running it around 20-30 fps even with HDR on and 8x anisotropic. I expected a slide show to be honest. Granted, This is all with middling settings though, Like buildings set to tons, roads set to mega tons, trees set to filled in, detail draw distance set to medium, clouds set to 15%, and shadows set to static. So X-Plane 10 does have much overhead to upgrade into. I am thoroughly content with my purchase, And look forward to all the great 3rd party products coming down the pike for XP10. Thank you all for your advice and opinions, I am going into my next upgrade cycle armed with all this information. Cheers! :Smug: Mobo/CPU: MSI Z490-A PRO - Intel Core i7-11700K (8 cores - 16 Threads) @5Ghz (CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S) GPU: SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 5600XT 6Gb GDDR6 RAM: 32Gb (4x8Gb) TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3200Mhz CL16 Storage: Samsung 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 500Gb & addlink 1TB SSD NVMe PCIe 3.0 M.2 PSU: EVGA 750BQ 80+ Bronze 750W

July 12, 201213 yr Author Thanks Phantom! B) I have an update for all of you. I just purchased a Geforce Gtx 460 256-bit 1gb GDDR5 for 40 dollars on my local craigslist! Now, I know it's not as good as the Gtx 560ti, But it is still much better than my Radeon HD 6770. And aside from that, i couldn't pass up this card at such a low price. I am going to be testing it out in the coming days, I am sure my performance will be a bit better now, especially with HDR enabled. Oh, What goodies you can find on craigslist sometimes! :P Mobo/CPU: MSI Z490-A PRO - Intel Core i7-11700K (8 cores - 16 Threads) @5Ghz (CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S) GPU: SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 5600XT 6Gb GDDR6 RAM: 32Gb (4x8Gb) TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3200Mhz CL16 Storage: Samsung 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 500Gb & addlink 1TB SSD NVMe PCIe 3.0 M.2 PSU: EVGA 750BQ 80+ Bronze 750W
