Prague Ruzyne Airport

No way to remove them then? Thery look really naff!

Not a cTD, only a "building crash" with an invisible building maybe a thousand feet tall or more. And not over the city, more over the hills near on the airport side of the river -- somewhere close to the castle I'd guess (I've been to the brewpub behind the monastery further up than the castle

Ad trees: Maybe a bgl file, but I really don't know...:-(

Ad building crash: They should have been all removed, but apparently weren't. I fly with crashes disabled. But there's for at their website where you can tell them about bugs...

I have a different problem which maybe you could help me with. I get wrong vectors by Radar Contact when approaching LKPR and RC window shows wrong runway heading, for example 282° for RWY 30, which should be 304°. Any idea what's wrong? Other airports work well with RC, and the author of LKPR says it's not a probelm within AFCAD...

When you're at Prague, just send me a private message, we can have a beer together, I live there and know some good places...:D The real deal, not those tourist places...:D

So the True heading is okay (307), but he's got a bad error with a ridiculous Mag Var of 25 degrees! This is why you get 282!

This smacks of a simple careless mistake with a decimal point. Probably should be 2.5.

Furthermore, according to the latest charts from Navigraph (for LKPR they are November 2010) the MagVar is now 3 E, and the runway names are changed: no 30! That's now 13/31.

When you're at Prague, just send me a private message, we can have a beer together, I live there and know some good places...:D The real deal, not those tourist places...:D

Thanks, but there's a party of 8 of us, at least, all keen on brew pubs. We have a list to visit. Previously I've been to Pivovasky Dum (and Klub), U Medvidtu, U Dvou Kocek, and Klášterní pivovar Strahov

(monastery). We have some others recommended and a list form the Internet. What would you recommend, looking for both good beer and good food?

Regards

Pete

You probably mean "U Medvidku" .. they make their own beer and have one of the strongest beer you can get (in the world.. they say).

Typo. And yes, but I prefer weaker beer -- I like to be able to drink more! The U Dvou Kocek (The Two Cats) is nearby and has delicious dark beer made on the premises too. All the places we've visited before make their own beer, excepting Pivovarsky Klub which has beer from its sister Pivovarsky Dum.

Sorry, couldn't resist.. back to the topic..

I looked for ways to correct the bad MagVar in the Prague AFD BGL, but none of my compilers like it. i don't know what it was built with, but neither the FS9 nor FSX tools like it.. :-(

Cheers

Pete

Definitely U Pravdu! Great selection of superb beers at right temperature, and best ribs in Prague! http://goo.gl/maps/f4UZ

Not one of those touristic places, but real Prague pub.

Anyway, thanks for your help with LKPR afcad!

Does anyone know if this is still being worked on or is going to be updated again for the above problems? There have been no updates since 28th May...

yeah.. it is great .. but as many of the free addons .. the problem is compatibility with FSX and DX10 .. as it was build for FS2009

have tried it, and was checking out if I could customize it by removing some stuff I don't want .. like the orthomap for prague .. since I have the UTX and GEX which is good enough

it's a big FPS eater though .. since the lines are casting shadows .. but I guess that's similar issue with payed addons, ? .. haven't bough any yet so can't compare

it's reallly great .. but I'm not sure if the advantages level out the disadvantages :(
