July 4, 201213 yr I am looking into getting a new joystick and I have pretty much narrowed it down to 2. I have been looking at pics and reviews and the consensus is that the Pro is of a much better build. Is the $50 price jump justifiable for the increase in quality. The Screen on the pro doesn't really interest me. Its time to retire the Logitech Attack. July 4, 201213 yr For what it's worth, I've abused an X52 for more than 4 years and it's still 100%. Sometimes the odd light will decide to stop working, but a few days later it always changes its mind again.
July 4, 201213 yr I've got the regular X52, still works fine after two years. It looks a bit worn, it sounds a bit squeaky and the connectors for the cables are a bit loose thanks to my abuse. Still works perfectly though.
July 4, 201213 yr Ok actually I'm lying, the one rotary switch drifts when you set it against the top stop. I just set a bigger dead zone and avoid the stop. I think this started happening after 2 years. The other rotary and the slider etc are fine though. The actual flying controls in particular are as smooth as they were on day 1. The MFD screen has faded but is still readable, I use the timer function for timing holds etc.
