Anyone know of a good Channel Islands mesh as the ones I have look awful around Jersey EGJJ airport.Ive looked at Raimondo taburets SRTM mesh and also Justin Tymes mesh for the same area and I think obviously there wasn't any good data as both look alike. There are some really dodgy parts around Jersey for example with water that is climving up a slope with a big brown line next to it almost like a roadway crossing the water. Does anyone know of a good mesh for these islands as the mesh's involved also cover France and Id like to keep them if possible. Just kind of ruins things when im approaching Jersey and see all these strange anomolys. The default Jersey is ok just the SRTM mesh versions.Does anyone who uses FSTerrain or the other CD based European mesh products have the same problem.Thanks for any helpCraig

I think you'll find that the problem doesn't lie with the mesh but with the island itself in Flight Simulator. A chap called Gill Bates was in charge and I don't think he was as careful as he could have been when doing some of the coastlines - especially on some of the smaller islands!:-) :D

Here is a quick fix I did for myself a while back. Open your scenery.cfg file (located in the main Flight Simulator 9 folder) with Notepad. Near the top of the list you should see the following entry: (Area.001)Title=Default TerrainTexture_ID=1Layer=1Active=TRUERequired=TRUELocal=SceneryWorldRemote=Copy the text below and paste it on the next line. You might want to save this in Notepad in case you have to reinstall in the future. Edit: Change the font of the added section to Courier New Regular size 10 so it matches the rest of the text.

Just to add to the above, the mesh is not at fault as the problem exists with the default scenery.
