FSX time sync- UTC

Recommended Posts

Hello-

I bought Real Time, but don't really want to start one more thing when I fly- I was told that a simple Lua plug-in would suffice.... "A small plug-in could do it easily enough. There is a standard Lua function "os.date" which returns date and time -- in fact optionally UTC (Zulu) time, which would fit the bill very well." Could someone point me in the right direction please.....Ta!

AJ- I want it to sync to UTC no matter where I am in the virtual world....

Guenter- I installed (thank-you again sir) however Linda will not see my PFC Flight Console as it uses Pete's PFCFSX.dll to run. Thoughts? Also, I have the Aerosoft Australia EFIS/MCP/EICAS so if there is a way to get LINDA to "see" that I'd be very interested as well.

Thanks again for your enormous contributions to FS!

....care to elucidate on how....without setting the FSX PC to UTC? Even THAT doesn't quite do it.....Thanks!

Make the default flight start in your timezone and UTC will also be correct.

Choose another starting airport anywhere in the world and UTC remains the same.

FSUIPC keeps the time sync'd if the difference between sim time and real time doesn't break +5 minutes.

Isn't there an entry in the FSUIPC.ini needed for it?
