Hi, can anyone tell me how to enable tail wheel steering on a tail dragger that doesn't have it?Cheers, Mark

You cannot enable something that is not there. However, there is a keystroke for locking and unlocking the tailwheel straight, which you can assign from the control menu. You will have to use differential power to control a tailwheel aircraft that does not have steering.

Hi Mark,It's possible to make a taildragger steering.Just open the aircraft.cfg file of your taildragger.For example I've here the cfg file for the Default DC-3.Scroll down to your contact_points section and change the 8th number (the one showed within the brackeds) to a higher value. 55 would be enough to correct steering. Don't type the brackeds in your cfg file.(contact_points)point.0=1, -56.00, 0.0, -2.3, 1200.0, 0, 0.60, (55.0), 0.200, 2.5, 0.695, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0Enjoy the steering.Cees

It *is* possible, but technically it's cheating... :-lol :( But to each his/her own, in FS anything is possible, even retrofitting a castoring tailwheel with steering mechanisms... :(I prefer to stick with the realism, using differential braking to steer my dc-3. Just takes practice... :) Would use differential throttle to go with it, but I only got 1 throttle control on my joystick... :)
