July 28, 201213 yr Hi all I have tried twice to do a flight with the Ilyushin IL-96 airliner. This was designed by Dimitri Samborski (sp?) of Air Simmers. I can't get enough airspeed for take off even at Jacksonille Int'l, FL with fairly long runways. I check fuel load and payload, those numbers seem ok. I notice also for just routine taxiing I have to set throttle to almost 30% with my joystick. The most I can get to is about 110 IAS, for a plane that large, probably should be about 160 IAS. I find no control for elevator trim, but I do set flaps to 5%. If Dimitri is reading this, please advise me on this, it is a great looking plane in the Aeroflot colors. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Larry -- USA
