Editvoicepack Error Message
I finally went back to EditVoicePack 3.1. I reinstalled, everything went fine with that. Now 3.1 won't run at all, I get the following error: The Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.0 is missing or does not point to a valid installation of Flight Simulator. If you do not know how to fix this problem manually, please reinstall Flight Simulator.

Landing Lights not Visible from Cockpit
I converted an AI aircraft and made it flyable. Everything works fine for daytime flights. I am using a default panel and sounds, those work fine for a DC-8-71. I'm still experimenting with the lights, Right now, the Taxi lights only come on when I switch on the Landing lights. I do have them assigned to separate circuit #'s, but still need some tweaking. The major problem is the Landing lights show nicely from the exterior views, but not from within the cockpit. It is difficult to land and taxi from the pilot's seat (inside) at night. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this.

Cabin Lights Only On with Landing Lights?
I have 2 POSky 757-300's. One is Delta Airlines, it works great, the passenger cabin, logo and Cockpit lights stay on as long as the NAV light switch is on. The other is a United-Continental 757-300. With this one, the passenger cabin, logo & cockpits lights all go off when I turn off the LANDING lights. I tried copying the [LIGHTS] and [ELECTRICAL] sections of the aircraft.cfg file from Delta to United, that didn't work. Then I took the UA texture folder and copied it into the Delta folder. I added the UA plane to the aircraft.cfg file and added a new B757-300-RR-RB211-535E4C.air file since the UA plane had RR engines. I tried this, same results. I know on most aircraft, the lights work properly at night. I also know the cabin and logo lights do work on the United plane, but only with LANDING light switch on.

Aircraft effects not good in FS9
This may coincide with a similar problem I have with all add-on aircraft I fly primarily passenger or cargo airliners, some military cargo planes. When I get above 25,000 feet, I notice the aircraft textures start flickering. This effects the wings and horizontal stabilizers. If I move my view point closer to behind the tail, I will see this flickering on the fuselage. I have tried to capture a screenshot of this problem, but when this is happening, those shots are not saved. I use FSRealWX and Ultimate Terrain. My rig is AMD Quad core machine with 8 megabytes of RAM. The video is Nvidia GTX-750 ti card with 2 meg of memory. I am running this with 64 bit Windows 7.

FS 2004 flickering textures
Since this effects all aircraft and only above 25,000 ft, I'm at a loss. Format of the aircraft textures are not changed from their original format. Everything else in the games appears to be normal. I am only using the drivers from Nvidia (not the default Windows drivers). Render to texture, not sure what that is. I did delete the FS9.cfg file and start over from scratch. I use mostly the default settings except I set the resolution to 900 X 1600 and High quality or higher. I also play Euro Truck Sim2 and Haney Golf World without any graphics problems.

FS 2004 flickering textures
I'm getting this flickering graphics also. It only effects exterior (spot) view of the plane above FL250. Clouds, ground scenery and the plane at lower altitudes are fine. Generally, the surfaces of the winds and horizontal stabilizer will flicker consistently. Depending on angle of my view, If I move fairly close behind the plane the fuselage will also flicker. This problem effects all aircraft. This started a year ago when I still had the Nvidia GTX-530 graphics card. I have since upgraded to the Nvidia GTX-750ti card. Addons: Ultimate Scenery US / Canada. FSRealWx Lite. FSUIPC. F1View. ScreenshotSaver. Larry F. South Bend, IN, USA.

Future Product Range
I am interested in seeing someone do a rendering of the Mitsubishi MRJ-90 STD. It is powered by two Pratt-Whitney PW1200G engines. Orders are placed by Eastern Airlines Group, Transtates, Skywest, All Nippon and a few others. Those I've listed I hope will be made available with textures for FS9 and FSX. B)

Grey Tiles at Altitude?
I have something similar to this. I just installed a better graphics card this past week, Nvidia GTX750-ti with 2 meg of ram. What I'm experiencing is fluttering of the panels on the plane (mostly wing surfaces) at hight altitude. Generally with commercial airliners I fly just above FL32 (32,000 feet) and observe this effect from spotter view. This was happening before with my old Nvidia GTX520 card and with weather addon WXreal / FSUIPC. Since then, I have gone back to just using the standard weather settings of FS9, with 15 minute updates. I also use Ultimate Terrain USA and I updated to FS9-1 from Microsoft. B)

Requirements for new ops system for FS2004
I run FS2004 on with a Nvidia GTX520 card which has 1 meg of ram. My pc is AMD 8 gig / quad core. I bought that as a bare bones system from ebay, works great. I just upgraded the Windows 7 to 64 bit, that helps, now windows sees all 8 gig of memory, (my goof). I'm looking to upgrade my video card so I can run more of the newer games. I'm hoping to get a GTX680 card. But with that I need a bigger power supply. I found these two items at a local computer store for less than ebay. Look at pcdirect.com in Mishawaka, IN. *** BigLarry ***

Weather download inaccurate
I have recently upgraded my Windows 7 to 64 bit. I got FS9 reinstalled and everything seems almost normal. But now I notice, when I select weather updates every 15 minutes option, the actual weather is not the same. Before I updated the OS, the weather was always fairly accurate, particularly in the USA. But like to day, I was going to do a run from South Bend (KSBN) to Newark (KEWR) with a ERJ-145. It came up with a noisy thunderstorm with heavy rain. Actually the weather in South Bend is sunny and very few clouds in the sky. It seems now everywhere I fly in US, I'm getting foul weather. Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

Ilyushin IL-96 Takeoff Speed
Hi all I have tried twice to do a flight with the Ilyushin IL-96 airliner. This was designed by Dimitri Samborski (sp?) of Air Simmers. I can't get enough airspeed for take off even at Jacksonille Int'l, FL with fairly long runways. I check fuel load and payload, those numbers seem ok. I notice also for just routine taxiing I have to set throttle to almost 30% with my joystick. The most I can get to is about 110 IAS, for a plane that large, probably should be about 160 IAS. I find no control for elevator trim, but I do set flaps to 5%. If Dimitri is reading this, please advise me on this, it is a great looking plane in the Aeroflot colors. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Larry -- USA

FS9 sloooow after fresh XP install
Probably similar to same problem I had. Mine was because I had to have a hard drive replaced. I use to run traffic at 25-30 %, real world traffic (w/ updating), Ultimate Terrain. My settings were all set high for display settings ... 1400 x 800 or so. I've updated everything, did some tweaking, and finally bumped my memory to 4 Gig (3.25 Windows XP). Now I have most settings at medium low, traffic at 10 %, most everything scaled back. And I still get garbled sound, FPS sometimes drop to 1 or 2 per second. My system right now ...Dell Optiplex 745, 2.8 gigahtz processor, 4 Gig memory, 500 Gig HD, Nvidia GeForce 8500GT with 1 Gig memory.Have ordered a Nvidia 520GT ... this has faster processing and supports DirectX 11 & OpenGL 4.0. Trying to hunt down FS9 stutters
I have had same problems since I had my hard drive replaced. My frame rate at times get down to 1 frame per second. It makes no difference what my fps slider is set at.I have all the display sliders down to medium-low or lower, traffic at 12-15 %, Weather at low (simple clouds). The add-on programs I run is the Saitek utility and FSScreen (occasionally), Ultimate Terrain USA and the COA55 traffic. I have many add-on aircraft, mostly POSKY, but a few others. The stuttering usually starts 10-15 minutes after I hit Fly Now button.I'm sure the real world weather has something to do with it, especially at a busy airport. Larry

North Central Convair 580
Can someone create a version of the North Central Airlines Convair 580.This was the first commercial plane I ever flew on back in 1971. A flight from South Bend, IN to Detroit, MI.I know there is versions available for earlier 2002 FS software, but does not work well with 2004 FS and later versions.See airliner.net for picturesBig Larry

Terrible Performance -- FS9
I quit -- It'll never be the same as it once was. Why would putting in a new hard drive screw up Flight Simulator so bad, that it's no fun any more.Even with all the tweaks, diagnostics and bumping up the memory, it's useless.Wish y'all all the fun that was intended for this game.Best wishes.Larry

Terrible Performance -- FS9
Well I've been trying for 2 month of this, there's no remedy. No matter what tweaks I've tried, I get no improvement. What is frustrating, is it starts out working great for first 20-30 minutes, then it just deteriorates after that.I am tired of poor response and garbled sound from ATC.Windows XP on a 4 gig RAM system with dual core 2.8 GHz processor.Ultimate Terrain, COA added traffic.

North Central Airbus A318-100
Does anyone know where I can find the base aircraft, "iFDG Airbus A318-100 CFM No VC" file? I have downloaded the texture file for the North Central version of this aircraft, by Tom Tiedman. I cannot find the necessary base aircraft that I can use this with. Thanks for any help with this.Larry F.

Terrible Performance -- FS9
Well now that there's no resolution for this, I'll give it up. Even with scaling FS-2004 down to Medium-Low settings, performance still sucks.and tweaking everything else down below what I had before. There's no point continuing with FS. I guess replacing a hard drive was a bad decision.gl all and have fun flying.Big Larry

Terrible Performance -- FS9
Nhancer isn't compatible with the 8500GT graphics card, according to NVidia. Every site I go to to download it, I get error message ... Access denied. I give up!!! I increased memory. Re-installed all the drivers for Nvidia, Dell sound chip, re-instated all the default aircraft. It just will not work the same as it did before the hard drive change. Thanks for trying.FS2004 - retired.

Terrible Performance -- FS9
Thanx Outlaw -- Yours system sounds quite similar to what I have now. I bumped my memory up to 4 gig of RAM, Windows XP reports it as 3.25 gig. I guess that because my Nvidia 8500GT graphics card has 1 gig on board. I'm still getting a jumpy movement and stuttering sound when I change views.I will check my BIOS settings and other graphics settings.Larry

Terrible Performance -- FS9
Thank you all -- I certainly appreciate this help on this issue. I am going back in and checking drivers, making sure I have the ones designed for Dell. I also think, I may have enhancements for Ultimate Terrain set to high. I am also pricing memory to upgrade to 4 gig. I also reduced cloud detail on the graphics part of it, since I use real world weather for most flights.
