VC cockpit guages grayed out, 2D cockpit OK

Featured Replies

During flight, the VC guages disappeared and were replaced by gray panels. Some disappeared and left (transparent) openings

though which blue sky and clouds were visible (very unsettling ~:) I was able to successfully complete the 5 hour flight (most of

it in this condition). Screen cap attached.

When I restarted FSX and reselected the same (MD11) flight the VC gauges looked normal once again. Any idea what may have

caused this? I can't think of anything that I may have done to prompt it. I was running FSX in windowed mode with Flight Sim Commander

running concurrently of the same PC. Other Utility / add-ons were running OK on a laptop via WideFS.

Thank you,

I can only guess you were running low on virtual memory somewhere.

I've never seen this on a PMDG aircraft before.

Thank you for responding Jude. Seems to have been a transient issue. It did not happen on subsequent flights.

My guess is that you have video card/driver issue. If you run into it again try updating the driver.
