Hi guys,

I’m about to purchase a 27”, 2 ms monitor for my flight simming activities (mainly 737 NGX). I might use TrackIR as well. I choose the 27” because the PFD has the most realistic size.

I was wondering, most monitors are 60 Hz, but I also see some of 120 Hz (which are also a lot more expensive!); how important is that? And what do you most of you have for flight simulation?

The 27” Samsung Syncmaster S27B370Hl looks OK to me now, I’d like to pay at most 250,- Euro for a monitor.

Are there more things I might have overlooked?

Thanks for your response.

If you are going to use a matrox tripple then you have to stick with 60hz.

the matrox cannot handle more then 60hz.

with the 120hz you could consider 3d but that will costs you a lot of fps.

have a look at the new monitors from LG 27 inch IPS7

will deliver soon somewhere mid august.

they have hardly any bezel!

I will order them looks amazing

I see no reason why you would need 120Hz. Stick with 60.
