August 9, 201213 yr Do you really have to turn off ftx when flying outside of the region? I have Northern rockies and now I want to get GEX to spruce up the scenery in northern Alberta, but is it really not advisable to cross between the two? August 9, 201213 yr Not true. I run FTX, GEX, UTX 100% of the time without ever turning it off. There is no issue to be had at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The only time I go into FTX is if I want to switch from the US/Canada regions to the NZ/AU region. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk William Sequeira
August 13, 201213 yr I agree with Wiliam above. You will see a small area of what I call "dead" scenery (not much detail and semi-desert in appearance) but no problems of any kind as you transition from one to the other program and back again. Set it and forget it :-) Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.
