August 9, 201213 yr I have finally decided to bite the bullet and build a new computer. My i3-M was never going to give me what I needed. I was thinking about starting with the i5 3570K. Nothing special with the motherboard and just about 8GBs of RAM. Where I run into trouble with deciding is with the Graphics Card. I don't need anything like the 680, but was looking at Nvidia 500 series. Specifically, the 550. Can anyone give me some advice on the GC? August 9, 201213 yr Can anyone give me some advice on the GC? 1. How much money are you willing to spend for a GPU? 2. Do you use Nvidia Inspector for Anti-Aliasing for FSX or do you use FSX default AA?
August 9, 201213 yr Don't get the 550... it's a lower level card not meant for gaming... Get the 560ti at the very least. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

August 9, 201213 yr 1. $200 2. Currently, I use Default AA. If I build a new computer, I will use whatever people recommend. If 200 is your budget then I would recommend the GTX560Ti. You will be able to run decent levels of AA and still not loose to many FPS.
