Pack Issue and general sluggish acceleration

Recommended Posts

So there I was ... climbing out toward my cruise altitude and plane, with a load of 450 is in alpha protection and about 50 kts above stall with engines in climb thrust and the altitude is only 16,000 feet? Now I know I am not setting my FLEX temps to exact margin but I have had to kick the AT off and control thrust until cruise speed and then let the AT have it back. Also, with the AIR sys in auto, my packs keep getting turned off at climb out and never turn on again. At one point I got a warning about cabin alt reaching 10,000 and I am clueless as to why three engines bleeding air can't keep the pack on.

Not sure about FSX but when you have a trottle on your yoke you have to put the trottle all the way up.

Hope it helps.

Hi Ebodee. Welcome to the forum. It's a rule to sign your real name to posts here (http://forum.avsim.n...ill-be-deleted/), just as a head's up.

If you go into your MD-11 options panel, what are your A/T and thrust settings? A screenshot would speak volumes. Do you have a trim axis assigned? What climb mode are you using?

I agree with Kyle about the screen shot, Most importantly the PFD. It sounds to me like the autoflight system in not in profile mode (think VNAV in a Boeing). This could also be caused by incomplete flight plan and load information being provided to the FMS during pre-flight.
