August 13, 201213 yr Lockhead Martin and the Prepar3d team said they will be backing the project. I've invested as well and will be excited to try it out with FSX. This will be a more affordable way instead of having to spend thousands on cockpit parts and panels. Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
August 13, 201213 yr It sounds great! Ive always thought this would be the next step. I hope it doesnt cause neck strain or Headaches. I remember the Night Vision goggles we used in the Army years ago and they were literally a pain in the neck. Rob
August 13, 201213 yr Moderator Seems that this is the same technology tried years ago. Also, unless I misread their site, they are in the stages of collecting funds for development and prototyping. That seems to indicate to me that they are a long way from reality. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
August 17, 201213 yr Author Almost 2 million dollars in funding and already backed by id Software, Valve, Epic, and other great game developers. I don't see them far off from having a commercial version released. In the mean time, I'll be happy with the developer version being released this Dec and can't wait to get truely immersed in FSX :) Seems that this is the same technology tried years ago. February 5, 201313 yr Author Right now I'm trying to figure out how to integrate it with FSX. Perhaps using simconnect? I know nthusim is bringing out a driver, but I am not too sure if that will support the head tracking. Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
