August 14, 201213 yr Hi Can someone help me! I have been using 737NGX for last 6months, For example OMDB on landing I set the pressure to QNH 0998 as per the Vrtoute date But when I check with PFD/ and information Via Fsinn the pressure show as QNH1013 When try to land after pressure selector B some time the landing is hard or above the RWY How to set this correctly Thanks Sunil
August 14, 201213 yr What are you using for weather? I use active sky 2012 and as that is the program injecting my real world weather into fs I get the QNH from that directly. Either by tuning in the active sky ATIS or looking directly on the program for a weather report of the airport I am flying too. If you use fsx default weather you need to find the QNH by tuning the fsx ATIS or if you feel really lazy just press B. That auto sets the Altimeter to the local pressure setting as you seem to know. When you press B does the setting change at all? I am assuming that fsinn is injecting weather for you? I have never used it really so don't know how it works so someone else will have to chime in with advice relating to that program. QNH 1013 is the standard pressure setting above transition altitude and in my experience is rarely correct on the ground. If you do not set the QNH from the relavent weather source it will of course be incorrect. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
August 14, 201213 yr ... If you use fsx default weather you need to find the QNH by tuning the fsx ATIS or if you feel really lazy just press B. That auto sets the Altimeter to the local pressure setting as you seem to know.... Hmm, I thought for sure that it sets the pressure setting to the current area QNH, not local QNH. Pressing B is not really a solution imo, as sometimes you find that area qnh and local qnh is not the same, with ATC having everybody flying on an approach using the local settings. Its critical to manually enter the pressure setting that ATC instructs rather than pressing B imo vatsim s3

August 15, 201213 yr Author Thanks for all the comments i ttok the advuce of james and went for rex 2012 i will try and comment once a agin thnks fro your time it is a great community
August 15, 201213 yr I did not say REX I said Active Sky 2012 fella. Rex is superb for textures, clouds and water but lacks in the weather engine department as far as I can see. Active sky seems to do a better job in this area for me. Anyhow I was not suggesting you needed to get it I was just pointing out it is what I use. As long as you use the correct QNH setting for what is injecting the weather into you sim you should be fine. That said if you do feel like buying some weather then I can't think of a better option.
