August 15, 201213 yr @austindk - yep. So you "miss" at Sibling Corners because it's gone below minimums. Now instead of punching in your M/A procedure in the G1000 as you would do IRL, then programming or recalling your course to your alternate, you're pausing FSX, opening the flight planner, building a new plan to Coffin's Corners (your alternate), loading it into the sim, closing the menu, and hitting the unpause button. I understand what you're saying. That is a limitation of that suggestion, I'm just as bitter as the next pilot that the functionality is very limited. If only RXP would make their own G1000, perhaps with the Gramin Synthetic vision?! One can only wish!
August 16, 201213 yr True Bert. And now you have an $83 airplane. PMDG is cheap compared with that! Like most others here I have LinkGPS=on working between RXP and a sizable number of other FSX aircraft (not just Carenado) so using RXP to get this G1000 working more fully is nowhere near the cost adding the full prices together for this aircraft and RXP. RXP is certainly a stand-alone product of its own.
