Hi: I just bought a new computer 4gig processor 16 gig memory 2gig video card and installed fsx on it. It runs great ... Frame rates from 70 up to 189fps. I have one plane from FSD that I use alot and it worked great in FSX on my old win XP machine...now when I load it, it loads ok at the airport and everything is going great.. frame rate76... can zoom and pan in views ... switch to external views... but when I make a mouse click anywhere it crashes to desktop.. It's driving me batty!!! I ran event viewer and here are a copy of the results..

Does someone have any idea whats going on FSD just said the designer of the plane is no longer with them and they couldn't help !!!!

It does it in virtual cockpit view or the 2d view that came with the plane package.

Thanks in advance... Chip

Its hard to say for sure, as this is not a problem we have any experience with. However, in your Windows error it lists the sound driver for the 337. What you describe sounds like you have a Direct X sound error, where Windows is trying to run the sound associated with one of the panel switches and is encountering an error. This could be cause by one of the following:

1.

You have a problem in your Direct X environment, such as sound drivers, etc.

2.

The sound driver is not present on your system. It should have been installed with the files, but may have been removed for some reason. The file is called Ckpsound.dll and should be located in your root Flight Simulator directory.

3.

Your operating system will not allow the sound driver to load due to security permissions or security software installed on your computer.

You can turn the sounds off using the Load Manager (make sure to press "Save"). But it would be best if you sorted out what the Direct X problem is.

If you continue experiencing problems I rerecommendou contact us directly via our support page at http://www.fsd-international.com/support/techsupport.php. You will get much faster service that way.

I hope this helps.
