FSD 337 Skymaster and windows 7 64 bit crashing
Its hard to say for sure, as this is not a problem we have any experience with. However, in your Windows error it lists the sound driver for the 337. What you describe sounds like you have a Direct X sound error, where Windows is trying to run the sound associated with one of the panel switches and is encountering an error. This could be cause by one of the following: 1. You have a problem in your Direct X environment, such as sound drivers, etc. 2. The sound driver is not present on your system. It should have been installed with the files, but may have been removed for some reason. The file is called Ckpsound.dll and should be located in your root Flight Simulator directory. 3. Your operating system will not allow the sound driver to load due to security permissions or security software installed on your computer. You can turn the sounds off using the Load Manager (make sure to press "Save"). But it would be best if you sorted out what the Direct X problem is. If you continue experiencing problems I rerecommendou contact us directly via our support page at http://www.fsd-international.com/support/techsupport.php. You will get much faster service that way. I hope this helps.

FSD Bonanza Out
Yes you can modify it using FS Panel Studio just like any other flightsim aircraft. We have dropped our previus nightlighting scheme for the 2D panels because we realize that this was being more of an inconvenience than a feature. While it is possible to get much better effects for different times of day by building the panel bitmaps into the gauge pack, the system FS X employs is really not that bad, plus it is much more problemmatic displaying bitmaps from the gauge pack compared to previous versions of FS. So from now on we will be using the stabdard FS X day/night panel bitmap system.

FSD Bonanza Out
We do offer a full refund if you just purchased the software are not satisfied with the product. As far as your download speeds I cannot comment on that. This is something that is really not in our control. Most people have no problem at all connecting to our server and downloading at good bps rates. Connectivity between any two sites on the Internet can sometimes be problematic and has existed since the Internet began, and it is not necessarily the fault of either party. So it is really not fair to suggest otherwise.

FSD Cessna 337 Skymaster problems
There is a standard for the way tooltips are created in Flight Simulator, according to the published SDK, and those on the Cessna 337 are no exception. They are standard FS gauges. As several people have pointed out, this is a common problem with previous designs that have been ported into FS X. It is not a gauge programming issue. We continue to sell the Cessna 337, and the others, because many people still want them and have them work in FS X. They do work quite well, as is the case with a lot of port overs, but there are some minor display issues such as this which can occur.

It is crashing when you are trying to load it in the simulator? Let me know as I am sure I can help you with this. I used Windows 7 64 bit all during the development process, and it was tested on several like computers. The plane is fully compatible with XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Commander TC115 X
We have not heard of a lot of frame rate issues with the Commander, but results will always vary between system and how you have your FS display parameters setup. But I can tell you that you can buy it at no risk. If it does not work out for you for any reason we will gladly refund your purchase.Tim DickensFlightSim Developers

Please help, especially if english is your native language
Tom,This is new forum software for us and we are not really familiar with all of the options yet. Our previous forum did not allow for validating email addresses, and it seems now that this one does. So if your email address is valid that is really all that is needed. If you register again you should not have a problem.Tim DickensFSD

Our apologies if we were being rude. We were simply trying to protect ourselves from spammers, which is a legitimate concern to anyone running a forum. Most forums these days, including this one, require complete information when registering. However, we don't want to seem unreasonable and are looking into an easier way to implement the registration process.Tim Dickens

FSD Cirrus 50 Jet - first impressions
You are making an untrue statement here, which you obviously had not researched. We always offer a full refund if you are not satisfied. As far as the cabin pressurization goes, our web page, which you seem to subject to an awful lot of minute scrutiny, does in fact specify that the Vision incorporates a pressurized cabin. Everything on the Cirrus SJ50 is automated, including the cabin environment and cabin pressurization. A pressurization indicator and warning system is incorporated in the MFD.

FSD Cirrus 50 Jet - first impressions
The kind of custom programming for the avionics you are referring to is simply not going to be possible in a $26 aircraft. We are working on a more sophisticated G 1000 system which should be available sometime next year, that will be at an additional cost. Keep in mind that the displays on the Vision are "sized to spec", meaning that they can easily accommodate one of the custom avionics packages available online. While the $40+ price tag of such units may not be attractive to many simmers, if you want this level of realism the extra cost is unavoidable. As far as the pilot model goes this is not a complaint we have heard before. The screenshots themselves are being continually updated, but keep in mind that you really can't see the pilot from the camera perspective in many of these shots.Tim DickensFlightSim Developers

FSD Cirrus 50 Jet - first impressions
I'm sorry you felt that I was trying to evade any questions. That was certainly not my intention. The NAV data is the default FS X data, as are the pages and groups will be pretty much the same. These are asically very much like the default G 1000 displays with the addition of some customizing and data specifically formatted for what the Vision would incorporate.Tim DickensFlightSim Developers

The left seat is centered squarely in from of the PFD. I know it is difficult to tell by some of the screenshots.Your GoFlight units will not have a problem with this aircraft. It is completely compatible with external hardware.Keep the blue on top!Tim DickensFlightSim Developers

Flight Sim Developers
Our forum software has become very dated. It is the same software that Avsim used to use, but sadly, it is not very compatible with a lot of the new browsers used today, although it should work "OK" with Internet Explorer. We have installed some new forum software and we are in the process of migrating as much data as we can from our previous forum, particularly the login account. But we we likely will not be able to import the old posts and threads. We hope to have this forum running by the weekend. We do have very prompt support available to you via our email support system that you can access from our Support page, or you can contact us at [email protected]. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Encouraging News from Microsoft
I find it hard to believe that Microsoft as made any decision to drop PC gaming (or PC Flight Simulation) in favor if XBox or Windows Live, simply because they don't have to at this point. They would not even think about starting development on another version of Flight Simulator until later this year I believe. That is when they would go commando on the whole market change thing. What we hear from former employees should be interpreted in that light. I have no doubt that ESP is dead. I never thought that was going to go anywhere, nor did I think Flight Simulator was going to end up in that domain. There has been a lot of conflicting information on just how well Flight Simulator X has sold. Some say it was a dismal flop, others say it sold millions of copies. But I am inclined to think that they are making very good money on the franchise, as well as their other PC titles. If history is any indication it is very unlikely Microsoft will throw a profitable business in the trash in favor of the "wave of the future". Rather, they will develop games and Flight Simulator for both platforms, sharing a great deal of the code, making money from all ends of the market until it becomes clear that one format has taken the market and the other is dead.Having said that, I think if the delivery system evolves there is no reason to assume that it will not interface with the more powerful PCs and monitors. As long as there is money to be made in simulation they will deliver it in a way that its customer base will accept and enjoy.Tim DickensFSD International

Flight Simulator X will get six add-ons
I would not attach any credibility regarding the future of Flight Simulator to any statement made unless it comes directly from Microsoft. As far as that goes, the powers that be at Microsoft did not just fall off a turnip truck. Any such decision and announcement would not be made until they absolutely had to...when the next version of the sim would actually be overdue. Don't think that time would come for at least a year, more like two.I think this is obviously a clumsy attempt from some publisher to promote themselves. However, since it bears the Microsoft logo, which is copyrighted, I intend to write a letter to Microsoft and ask them to confirm this. That should be more interesting.Tim DickensFSD International
