June 20, 200421 yr I personally like to use USA roads for just the major roads, use traffic at high density, low road reflection and mercury vapor for the lighting type.I find in this way, I can still use freeways and highways as major landmarks, but it doesn't cause all the rural roads in my area to stick out like a sore thumb.Overall, though this is a great product, the best part about it, is it adds an immeasurable amount of detail to your area, regardless of where in the US you live. Now your home town, if it is small, is not just a random bunch of urban tiles. You can pick out roads and your imaginination now takes over, and it adds life to your hometown, however large or small it is.
June 20, 200421 yr I prefer "all low" settings.Low sodium, dim, lowest traffic density, etc. And in my opnion it still gives you too much traffic/light outside of major metropolitan areas.Michael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg Michael J.
June 20, 200421 yr I just reflected the same sentiment to a friend of mine in an email - I MUCH prefer the fact that I can see the roads at all with this product, but I would like a texture set that makes the minor roads darker day and night. I live in NH and have trouble finding some of these roads from my car, but they're obvious now in the sim. Not complaining, just observing. The fact that they're in the sim now much outweighs the criticisms I have with the color of them! All in all, its one of those products I won't be able to fly without - I flew over southern ontario yesterday, and was really struck by the lack of roads. Now that I've seen the "other side", I'll need USA roads installed from now on!Best,sgEDIT- vilk, by "other side" I don't mean Canada :-smooch Sorry!
